and celebrating Día Del Niño “Children’s Day”. Many countries around the world celebrate children through an annual holiday. In Mexico, Day of the Child takes place each year in April, and it’s a big deal! Many parents buy their children a gift, and schools hold big celebrations complete with games, music, performances, piñatas, and outings. Parks, restaurants, and sporting facilities hold special celebrations as well.
In celebration of our community’s children environmental education sites in Sonoma County will host a wide variety of FREE activities from 11am to 3pm. Each site will provide different opportunities for children and adults to engage with the outdoors, highlighting the work that the SEEC organizations do throughout Sonoma County. Activities will include nature crafts, visits with animals, bug catching, family nature walks, bird watching and so much more!
End the day with a concert by the amazing Zun Zun at the Roseland Village Neighborhood Center from 4pm to 5:30pm.
As we recognize the biodiversity of Sonoma County our event will seek to focus our outreach on cultural diversity, Latino outreach, families, and students of all ages. Hablamos Español.
