Soil Foundation has one regular work day at theLarkfield Communtiy Garden & Learning Center. On the 3rd Saturday of eachmonth from 10:00am – 2:00pm, we offer hands-on techniques to grow organic food,improve ecological health, and engage with diverse audiences. Volunteers willreceive tutorials and instruction from our expert gardeners, farmers, and guestspeakers.
Join us to explore the land, meet new friends, and spend theday outside. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Wear sturdy shoes andweather-appropriate clothing. Drinks, snacks, and tools will be provided aswell as nature-based activities for kids! We work in light showers but heavyrain will postpone.
Community Soil Foundation is a non-profit organization thatcultivates the wellness of Sonoma County communities by offering land-basededucation, creating access to organic produce, and regenerating habitat andnatural resources. Our Community Garden & Farm program raises awareness andbuilds literacy about regenerative farming and gardening including the benefitsto individual, cultural, and ecological health. Project sites are strategicallychosen to suit our multi-functional goals to get the most out of a singleparcel of land while amplifying the benefits to the local community.
This is a free community event.
