The Northern California artist performs soul-blues musicwith a rock edge, offering hints of Aretha, Janis and Bonnie. Her vocals havebeen described as soaring, gritty, tantalizing and unforgettable. Her songs,instrumentals and lyrics reflect the soulful heartbeat of Memphis and MuscleShoals, the Southern vibe of Nashville, and the rock ‘n’ roll free spirit ofWoodstock.
Sarah’s first album, “Sarah Baker,” features the movingTiananmen Square tribute “Until the Last Goodbye.” Her Delta Blues album “MaybeSomeday” includes cover tunes such as “Blues, Get Off My Shoulder.” Anotheralbum, “Dolly and the Lama Mountain Boys,” celebrates the artist’s New Mexicoera with live performances of “Cosmic Cowboys” and “Sunday Morning Blues.”Sarah wrote and performed on the title track of “Out of Fire,” an artistcompilation project that supports victims of the Tubbs Fire.
Sarah’s new album, “Baker’s Dozen,” includes a rhythm balladabout growing up called “Wiser Woman” and the Me Too Movement-inspired “BuildThat Bridge.”
