Environmental Center while learning about California native plants andshopping for new additions to your garden. California natives are optimal forsaving water, attracting pollinators, creating habitat for wildlife, and addinga beautiful local touch to your landscape. The plants for sale are tended withlove and care all year round by dedicated CNPS Milo Baker volunteers in ourshared nursery at the Laguna Environmental Center. Once you’ve shopped at theplant sale, you can explore the picturesque grounds, visit our own native plantgarden, and stop by Heron Hall for educational activities and displays.
A free mini speaker series takes place throughout the day in Heron Hall on various topics:
11:00 am – Steve Swain, What’s Wrong with Fire Safe Plant Lists?
12:00 pm – April Owens, Designing the California Garden, Resilient Landscapes for the Future of Sonoma County.
1:00 pm – Kandis Gilmore, Fostering a Network of Interdependence: Native Plants for Native Pollinators.
This event presented in collaboration with the Milo Baker Chapter of the California Native Plant Society, who will have native plants for sale.
Plant sale from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
Open House from 10:00am – 3:00pm.
Admission is free. Donations gratefully accepted.
