Ric on the Radio
Eric Cullen, aka "Ric", is a musician and music lover who was raised on FM radio, Beethoven, the Carter Family and Frank Zappa. Born in San Diego, he moved to Sonoma County in 1989 to attend Sonoma State University, earning his b.a. in music in 1991. Since then, he has played in many local bands: Freeloaders, the Vallejo Street Band, Joe Chaplain Band, among many others. He currently plays in Amphora, an all-instrumental smooth and Latin jazz combo. He has also recorded a dozen solo albums and owned or co-owned three independent record labels. His involvement at KRCB is a natural extension of his total love of all aspects of music, from creator, to showman, to fan.

The Allman Brothers Band 1976Spearheaded by The Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd, Southern rock became a staple of FM radio in the 1970s. Combining R&B, soul, blues, country, jazz, gospel, bluegrass, and hard rock, these artists stirred up a true melting pot of American styles with a distinctly Southern voice, often with virtuosic musicianship. In addition to the above-mentioned bands, we’ll hear from The Marshall Tucker Band, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Wet Willie, Outlaws, Black Oak Arkansas, Dixie Dregs, Molly Hatchet, Johnny Winter, Drive By Truckers, Charlie Daniels Band, Amazing Rhythm Aces, Blackfoot, The Steel Woods, The Black Crowes, and more! Thursday, April 23. 9-11pm on KRCB 91.1FM.
