Santa Rosa Symphony Training Young Musicians program offers six graduated ensembles for students from elementary through college level, including a jazz ensemble and groups for beginning string players. Members represent public and private schools throughout Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties.
Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Orchestra comprises advanced students, 11-24 years of age, who have had previous orchestral training. Founded in 1959, it is one of the oldest orchestras of its kind in California and has performed in Carnegie Hall and Davies Symphony Hall, and has toured in China, Central Europe and Spain. Repertoire is selected from the standard orchestral literature.
