Ivan Neville comes from one of New Orleans’ famous musical families – He’s the son of Aaron Neville and has played keyboards on recordings by The Rolling Stones, Don Henley, Bonnie Raitt, and Robbie Robertson. Ivan also fronts his own band, Dumpstaphunk, who have a new album out soon, called Where Do We Go From Here. We’ll hear his conversation with New Orleans correspondent Gwen Thompkins today, plus Dumpstaphunk’s performance recorded live on stage at Tipitina’s. That’s coming up, on the next World Cafe.
