South Bay Clean Creeks Coalition: Volunteer Heroes

Volunteer Heroes. On the landmark five hundredth creek cleanup day his group has hosted, South Bay Clean Creeks Coalition Founder and Executive Director Steve Holmes shares some of the impact the nonprofit has made: removal of 800 tons of trash, 33,000 volunteers engaged, and restoration of a cleaner natural environment. As he sees the health of South Bay watersheds improve, he shares “It’s exciting that this thing is really starting to trend in a positive direction.”

Made possible by a generous Safe, Clean Water and Natural Flood Protection grant from Valley Water (https://www.valleywater.org/learning-center/grants-partnerships).
