California Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero joined Sonoma County judges and court leaders to commemorate the completion of the new Hall of Justice in Santa Rosa. The six-story, 15-courtroom facility will replace aging court spaces and provide expanded services, improved security, and modern accommodations for jurors, attorneys, and the public. Hayley Blondin, a bilingual multiple-subjects teacher at Oak Grove Elementary School, has been named the Sonoma County Teacher of the Year for 2026. She was recognized at an all-school celebration, alongside Sonoma County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Amie Carter. Blondin is praised for building strong one-on-one relationships and leading schoolwide events that foster student engagement, belonging, and confidence—including applying Science of Reading strategies to help students improve.
