Lingering citrus, that's what I like to call it. It's still there at the farmer's market. The colors are bright and lovely. Sometimes I really do want a last squeeze of something from the tree that reminds me that winter doesn't have to be all cold and wet. We have my lemons year round.
We have Eureka lemons most of the year, if not always. But some of those other fruits, I kind of hate to see them go because some of them are really great on the kinds of things we like to have in warmer weather. There is not a citrus that isn't good on a piece of fresh fish in a salad dressing and on well, an avocado, whatever you want to have. Grab one more piece of citrus. Savoring Sonoma.
