West Sonoma County residents will be lining up at the Monte Rio Bridge to run across with the goats in a traditional practice called transhumance. The word transhumance means “to move livestock from one grazing ground to another, " grazing for fire resilience, vegetation management, and to aid in restoring ecosystem health. This project is part of the LandSmart Grazing program and is in partnership with The State Coastal Conservancy, Sonoma RCD, UCCE, and Wild Oat Hollow.
