An urban oasis, the Santa Rosa Creek/Prince Memorial Greenway Trail runs west along Santa Rosa Creek from downtown Santa Rosa to Fulton Road. A lovely meandering creek, whispering shade trees, migratory birds calling among the rushes, what could be better! The trail is paved from downtown to Fulton Road at the western edge of Santa Rosa. It turns to gravel as it crosses the laguna from Fulton to Willowside.

Easy: Start in downtown Santa Rosa at Gateway Park and take a short public art walk along the Prince Memorial Greenway Trail, appreciating mosaics, murals, and statues done by local artists and schoolchildren.

Moderate-Strenuous: Hardier walkers and bikers should know that the Greenway Trail connects to the Joe Rodota and West County Bike Trails which means you can walk or ride trail-to-trail for 20 miles from Santa Rosa to the Russian River town of Forestville. No cars, all fun!

DIRECTIONS: Take 101 to the Downtown Santa Rosa Exit (3rd Street). Go right on 3rd and turn left of A Street. The downtown trail entrance is at Gateway Park at 1st and A Street.
