Smoke seen in parts of the North Bay is from the Sand Fire, burning in Yolo County. The fire started in the Capay Valley near the town of Guinda at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, June 8th. As of Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., the fire is at 2,512 acres and 80% contained. For Cal Fire updates on the Sand Fire and a map of the evacuation area click here.
