Fluoridation

The next flashpoint in public health policy in Sonoma County could center on adding fluoride to local water supplies.

Dr. Lynn Silver ChalfinNew County Public Health Officer Dr. Lynn Silver Chalfin, is a strong advocate of fluoridating public water supplies. She calls that an established public health practice with a strong record of positive results.

Although there are those who fear fluoride as a poison, or even a government conspiracy, Dr. Silver-Chalfin says going without it results in unnecessary pain and costs.
