Anyone can be a modern mystic, and a new book from a local astrologer offers some detailed instructions on how to go about it.
Astrology is sometimes misunderstood as a source of predictions about what a person might experience or do, says Rio Olesky, a long-time practitioner in western Sonoma County. But individual free will is ultimately more pivotal in determining what actually comes to pass.
In his Manual, Olesly devotes each chapter to an exploration of what he calls Universal Laws. One of his favorites, he says with a little prodding, is Chapter 5, The Universal Law of Love.
