Dick AshfordFor life-long birding enthusiast Dick Ashford, the many varieties of hawks hold a special interest and appeal.

Although the kinds of hawks that are regularly found in the North Bay represent only about 5% of the known species worldwide, Ashford says, they represent a considerable range in sizes.
