Incumbent city council members generally fared well in Sonoma County elections yesterday, and local bond measures nearly all passed. But a county-wide vehicle fee was roundly defeated.

noreen_evans_l The full Democratic slate from the North coast was handily elected, including Representatives Mike Thompson and Lynn Woolsey, sittting Assembley members Jared Huffman and Wes Chesbro and newcomer Michael Allen, and termed out Assemblywoman Noreen Evans easily stepped up to claim the State Senate seat formerly held by Chesbro. In that office, she plans to push for additiolnal education funding, as a key to job creation.
