Anjana Dasam in the Studio

Anjana Dasam, a student at Syracuse University in Broadcast and Digital Journalism, joined NorCal this summer as an intern with KRCB-FM. Working in collaboration with Alison Marks, a member of NorCal Public Media’s Board of Directors, Anjana produced a series of stories and short features on arts and culture in Sonoma County.

Anjana’s work entailed recording in-person interviews using a field recording kit, writing for broadcast, voice overs, and producing and editing stories highlighting Youth Arts programs at both the Sonoma Community Center and the Sebastopol Center for the Arts.

Anjana also produced a story on art created in Petaluma for the Burning Man festival. Her piece on the Queer Arts program at Sonoma Community Center also aired as a news story during KRCB’s local broadcast of All Things Considered.
