An artist with a legacy like Rodney Crowell's doesn't need to revisit old songs in an "unplugged" setting.

It's been a season of immense change for one of our favorites, Nicki Bluhm. Her marraige to Mother Hips founder Tim Bluhm fell apart, she picked up and left her home here in the Bay Area and moved to Nashville, leaving behind her beloved band the Gramblers, and basically started fresh with songs pulled from the heartache.

"Tell Me How You Really Feel" is the new release from Austrailian rocker Courtney Barnett. The southpaw has returned to the lyrically funny, guitar driven sound that she introduced to the global audience with 2015's "Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit.

Not a misprint....the band Chvrches was formed in Scotland in 2011. Comprised of singer Lauren Mayberry and keyboardists Iain Cook and Martin Doherty, the band has just released its third full length collection of tunes.
