UC Davis Chancellor Linda Katehi walked into a quad full of critics Monday when she addressed thousands of students, faculty, staff and “Occupy” movement protesters. The rally came three days after campus police pepper-sprayed 11 students who appeared to be protesting peacefully. Katehi did NOT authorize the use of force, but she DID order police to break up a camp site Friday. Reporter Ben Adler has more.
