    This is FRESH AIR. For nearly four decades, the world's most famous incomplete film was "The Other Side Of The Wind," which Orson Welles began shooting in the early 1970s and hadn't finished editing at the time of his death.

  • Our Final Symphony Broadcast This Season Celebrates Bernstein, Features Sharon Isbin - Join Us Sunday at 3pm

    SharonIsbin 600On the next broadcast of the Santa Rosa Symphony, coming Sunday May 24 at 3 pm, we'll return to 2018, with a November concert featuring works that should get you dancing.

    • Heitor Villa Lobos, Guitar Concerto, with soloist Sharon Isbin
    • Franz Liszt, Mephisto Waltz No. 1
    • Leonard Bernstein, Symphonic Dances from West Side Story
    Show host Steve Mencher is joined by Francesco Lecce-Chong, Music Director of the Santa Rosa Symphony, to discuss all the music, and the remote musical activities that Francesco continues to conduct while the community shelters in place.
     
    After this performance, which you can hear on KRCB FM Radio 91, on our mobile app, and streaming via our website, we will archive the music here for a full month. (editor's note: We're no longer able to stream this concert. We hope you enjoyed it!)
      
    This is our last concert broadcast for the season, but we hope to be back with plenty more music from our local orchestra, widely recognized as one of the finest ensembles in its class.
