Citizen science is research conducted, in whole or in part, by amateur scientists. Citizen science is sometimes described as public participation in scientific research. On this edition of Bay Area Bountiful we visit with citizens as they help the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, UC Berkeley, and Sonoma State University gather data on the environment.
