There are a lot of "Secret Santas" calling Sonoma County home.

For over 30 years the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership has helped distribute thousands of donated Christmas gifts throughout local communities.

One of those secret Santa's has become a bit of a celebrity in his own right, and he stopped by the KRCB studios on Christmas Eve to speak with KRCB's Noah Abrams.

Cannon Meiers started selling hot apple cider and Christmas cookies when he was, "seven years old," Meiers said. "I was just trying to get money for my cousins to buy presents, and I was like, I kind of like doing this."

12 years later, Cannon has raised over $80,000 dollars to gift presents through the Center for Volunteer and Non Profit Leadership's Secret Santa Christmas gift drive.

The teenage Meiers was born with trisomy 14 mosaicism, a chromosome disorder characterized by physical, cognitive, and speech delays.

It's done little to stop Cannon though, with some help from his mom Amy, from bringing Christmas cheer to kids across Sonoma County.

While Cannon Meiers' Christmas fundraiser has closed for this year, raising over $40,000 for gift donations in Sonoma County, but you can follow Cannon's journey and look out for Cannon's 13th annual Secret Santa Fundraiser online at Cannon.Cares on Instagram.
