Young people who have registered for DACA have only until October 5 to file for extensions to their right to stay in the country - and only if their renewal falls before March 5. Of course, all these dates and deadlines are subject to change as Congress works on the latest iteration of the "Dream Act."

Local Spanish language media have been so concerned about the mental health of DACA recipients, they've been giving out the number for national suicide prevention hotlines. This brings home the disruption that President Trump's executive order ending DACA has caused. (English: 1-800-273-8255; Español 1-888-628-9454.
