There are no more tickets available to see Andrew Garfield and Nathan Lane in this powerhouse production at the National Theatre. But you can see the show in Sebastopol starting July 20 at the Rialto Cinemas. It's part of a series of events "captured live" and streamed to movie theaters, as Steve Mencher reports.
Showings for part one of "Angels," "Millennium Approaches," are Thursday July 20 at 7 pm and Saturday July 22 at 10 am. Part Two, "Perestroika," shows on Thursday July 27 at 7 pm and Saturday July 29 at 10 am.

This production of "Angels in America" seems to mine parallels between the Reagan era and the Trump era. For example, Roy Cohn, one of the play's central figures, was an acknowledged mentor to President Trump. Ky Boyd says that these connections, though they are on everyone's mind, didn't drive the production when it was conceived.
