Hopefully you’ll find yourself at either of our lifeguarded swimming areas.  The Russian River is host to the historic Healdsburg Veterans Memorial Beach and the return of the summer dam!

Spring Lake Park’s 3-acre swimming lagoon in Santa Rosa is experiencing exciting change with the installation of an inflatable playground, a first of its kind in the North Bay.  This floating obstacle course is composed of multiple, connected stations where children and adults alike can challenge their agility by bouncing, climbing, sliding, balancing, and in all likelihood, getting thoroughly soaked among the slides, islands, hurdles, climbing cliffs, a bouncing bridge, a slippery balance beam, high and low jumps, and a trampoline.

The East side of the lagoon will continue to be open for lap swimming and the South side will be reserved for unstructured access and ongoing summer day-camps.

Called The Water Park at Spring Lake this new feature will be open Memorial Day Weekend though Labor Day.  Hours will be 11am to 6pm daily.  A whole day or warm afternoon can be spent in and around the swimming area since it serves as a recreational hub that includes bike paths, nature trails, wildlife viewing, a campground, fishing, and redwood trees that join expansive lawns and picnic areas.

In partnership with the Sonoma County Water Agency, which owns Spring Lake, the Water Park is the latest improvement to this popular summer spot.  The swimming lagoon is filled with spring water that is then filtered and chlorinated to exceed water-quality standards.

The nearby Lakeside Grill serves food and beverages with outdoor seating next to the lagoon. The grill also hosts a wide calendar of live music along with several boating options at their concession that includes new kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and electric boats.
