Auction Rules

Thank you for “clicking” to KRCB Television 22’s Wine and Epicurean Auction webpage where you will find only the best in wine and dining experiences for your bidding pleasure!  Please review the following information to have a good understanding of how the televised auction works and our procedures:

On-air bidding is fast paced and competitive!  This is not like popular on-line auctions; if you really want an item we highly suggest you place your best bid right away.

When a board closes for bidding, the posted bid MAY NOT and most likely IS NOT the winning bid.  If your last bid was $100 (as example) and posted bid is $100, keep in mind we may have multiple bids at that amount.  With 20 phones in our studio, additional bids are coming in until the board closes and there may not be time to post a bid before the board is whisked out of the studio.

Some items (Blue, Silver, Green, Gold, Platinum and Sculpterra Winery & Sculpture Garden items) will close online and on TV simultaneously. Closing times are subject to change without notice. Please do not place any last minute online bids. Please call in your bids to 707-584-2000.

If you are a winner, our confirmation department will call you within 2 hours of the board closing; if you do not hear from us, you were not the winner.  If you do receive a call that you were a winner, please ask any questions that you may have about the item at that time.  If you are going to decline an item you must do so when the confirmation department calls so that we may move quickly on to the next highest bidder.

All items are sold “as is”.  ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

All items are sold in California.  The regulations governing the shipping of alcohol out of state vary from state to state.  It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to arrange for any wine or beer pick-up in California or arrange for shipment of the wine or beer out of state in compliance with applicable state and local laws.  We will only ship wine to out of state residents if they reside in a state that we can legally ship to.  YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD TO BID ON AND PICK-UP ANY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE.

If you have requested that wine or beer be shipped to you, the wine will be shipped via a carrier that requires a signature of a person 21 years or older for delivery.  If KRCB is not satisfied with the buyers proposed shipping arrangements outside of California, we reserve the right to cancel the sale and refund the purchase price.

All shipping charges will be paid for by the buyer; the cost of shipping is dependent upon the weight of the item and the zip code to which it is being sent.  Gift certificates are mailed at no charge.  Shipping charges will be placed on your credit card; there is also a $5.00 handling charge.

Acceptable forms of payment:  VISA, Mastercard, Discovercard and bank debit cards (has VISA or Mastercard symbol on it).  WE DO NOT ACCEPT cash, check or American Express.  If you are the winning bidder on an item you will be asked for your credit card number at confirmation and your card will be charged that night.

Item “pick-up” will be on Saturday October 24 from 10am to 4pm.  

Manipulative practices in auction bidding will prohibit you from winning the item.  We
Are savvy in determining these practices and are working with local authorities to prevent and prosecute.

REMEMBER:  when you bid during auction, you’re doing more than getting a great wine or dining experience – you are helping to keep KRCB Television 22 on the air!
