Membership Database Manager

KRCB North Bay Public Media (Rohnert Park, CA) seeks candidate with exceptional computer skills including experience with MS applications, MS Word, Excel, and Access.
The successful candidate will be highly organized and accurate with ability to multi-task, experienced with non-profit membership database systems, SAGE payments systems, and be a part of a team working in a deadline-driven atmosphere. This is a part-time (32 hours), in-house, benefits eligible position.

The successful candidate will:
• have demonstrated documentable high level of organization and consistency in their previous work;
• thrive on detail;
• be well versed in Microsoft applications;
• approach this position as one which enables the station to survive and compete in a very competitive marketplace; and,
• respect donors and assist in providing immediate feedback to donations.

Primary responsibilities include:
• processing all membership gifts, pledge, and other contributed income payments that fund the agency’s television and radio broadcasting activities;
• entering and coding gifts, creating thank you letters, export and import files, creating monthly renewal files, creating reports, running queries and lists and, in general, managing and assuring the quality and integrity of information in the database.

Skills and specifications include:
• familiarity with software programs including Memsys (member database), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and SAGE (credit card processing software);
• ability to learn codes for automated and manual systems;
• ability to operate office equipment;
• ability to multi-task, use personal judgment and utilize strong decision-making skills; and,
• good communications, willing to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education and qualifications:
• minimum—associate degree
• Microsoft Office user specialist
• ability to enter data accurately at a given speed
• strong keyboard, analytical, and computer skills
• ability to handle sensitive data in a confidential manner
• interface well with management and CEO

PUBLIC RADIO NEWS DIRECTOR

KRCB North Bay Public Media (Rohnert Park, CA), a small PBS/NPR joint licensee, seeks an experienced radio news director to lead 1.5 person news staff. The successful candidate will have a history of initiative reporting on a wide range of topics, superior writing, and efficient editing and production skills on ProTools and Audition. Further, the candidate must have demonstrated keen news judgment and an eye for finding the local angle in bigger regional and national stories, as well as the organizational ability to anticipate and manage workflow, coordinate staff and free-lance reporters, and train and work with volunteers and interns. A good working knowledge of Sonoma County and the surrounding area is preferred, but not required.

Master Control Operator

KRCB North Bay Public Media, a Sonoma County-based (Rohnert Park) public television station, seeks a Master Control Operator. Duties include recording and quality assurance checking of satellite video feeds, broadcast station operations, on-air switching of programs, record keeping, and maintenance of station logs

This entry-level position requires a detail-oriented, conscientious individual who is highly organized and self-directed. In addition to computer skills, the successful candidate must be available to work weekends, evenings, and early morning shifts, sometimes on short notice.
