Control Operator
* Operate videotape machines to prepare, monitor, and record according to schedule correct issues/problems in a timely manner. programming material from the station satellite record system, and take action to
* Operate videotape machines to preview programs prior to airing to ensure that they conform to the program log and provide written documentation of discrepancies.
*Operate videotape machines to prepare, monitor, and play back according to schedule programming materials to air, and take action to correct issues/problems in a timely manner.
*Monitor on air programming and provide written documentation of errors and discrepancies.
*Switch between video sources in real time to create seamless program stream.
*Provide exemplary customer service to internal customers to ensure that we assist them in meeting their objectives.
*Operate television transmitters, maintain transmitter operations logs.
*Operate
interstitial video server.
Needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
° Familiarity with, and ability to use various types of tape and machines including, but not limited to DVC Pro, ¾ inch, s-vhs.
° Computer skills to include operation of master control systems software.
° Ability to demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance.
° Excellent verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
° The ability to read, write, comprehend instruction and interpret alerts/alarms from the equipment and take appropriate action.
° Organizational skills to include organizing materials and maintaining records of information.
° Ability to work with supervision, receiving instructions/feedback, coaching/counseling and/or action/discipline.
° Capability to follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision.
° Ability to communicate with station staff, listen to their input and assist in providing service.
° The ability to work shifts as scheduled. Due to the nature of station operations Master Control Operators work a shift schedule.

Requirements
Must
be able to perform the essential functions of the job. KRCB will make
reasonable accommodations to facilitate the ability to perform essential job
functions. Work is predominately sedentary, but does require ability to move
around facility.~Manual dexterity to operate videotape machines and other
equipment.~ Light lifting and carrying of videotapes. Sight and hearing to view
and hear video and audio monitors. Must be able to talk and communicate
concepts, instructions or requests in a manner, which can be clearly
understood. Since KRCB is an 18-hour
operation, seven (7) days a week, the Master Control Operator’s shift may
include nighttime hours, and Saturday and/or Sunday shifts. Must be physically able to work 40 hours per
week.
