Council on Aging Volunteer Driver Orientation January 20, 2012
Sign up now! Volunteer drivers are needed at Council on Aging, a private nonprofit that has been serving seniors in Sonoma County since 1966. COA helps seniors continue to live independently and stay actively connected with the community by providing a variety of services such as Meals on Wheels, money management, legal services, information and referrals, transportation and more. The Caryl Weis Transportation Program at COA is in need of volunteers who might enjoy transporting seniors to medical appointments, grocery stores, social visits and activities. We are looking for kind and compassionate members of the community who will bring a warm smile and uplifting conversation while driving seniors to their destinations. Volunteers may drive from as little as one ride per month up to several hours per week. If you would like to donate time to help out seniors and register for the upcoming volunteer driver orientation on January 20, 2012, please contact Michele Leonard, Director of Volunteer Services at 525.0143, ext. 147. Visit our website at CouncilonAging.com for more information on the services we provide.
