Based on the popular book series by Norman Bridwell about the lovable oversized canine , Clifford presents a larger-than-life view of the world. Daniel Tiger's NeighborhoodWeekdays at 2:30 pm
This is an animated series with live-action interstitials. Fred Rogers’ original Neighborhood of Make Believe is recreated in vibrant color and texture; his signature puppet Daniel Striped Tiger is transformed into a curious and playful four-year-old joined by his friends O the Owl, Prince Wednesday, Katerina Kittycat and Miss Elaina.
Arthur Weekdays at 3:00 pm
A three-time Emmy Award-winner, this daily half-hour animated series, based on Marc Brown’s best-selling Arthur adventure books, shows how Arthur and his friends use effective, age-appropriate problem-solving skills. The full half-hour animated series, featuring the voices of Tom Kenny ("SpongeBob SquarePants"), Chris Parnell ("Saturday Night Live") and veteran character actor Jeffrey Tambor.
Biscuit BrothersTuesday-Friday at 4 pm
Biscuit Brothers is a children's television series which teaches music concepts through an entertaining use of puppets, animation, and musical guests. The show is set on a "musical farm" named EIEIO where the Biscuit Brothers work for the farm owner, Old McDonald. Each episode introduces a different music topic and used examples, skits, and songs with a common theme to describe the topic.
SciGirlsMondays at 4 pm
SciGirls TV series and website is a transmedia project to encourage and empower girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). It is the first television series on PBS designed specifically for middle school girls, ages 8 - 12. The approach is based on gender research and best practices for STEM education for girls. Each episode features different real girls in active science investigations and engineering projects, while the series is unified by two appealing animated characters.
Bob the Builder Weekdays at 8:30 am
Bob the Builder is a British children's animated television show created by Keith Chapman. In the original series Bob appears as a building contractor with his colleague Wendy, various neighbours and friends, and their gang of anthropomorphised work-vehicles and equipment. In each episode, Bob and his group help with renovations, construction, and repairs and with other projects as needed. The show emphasizes conflict resolution, co-operation, socialization and various learning skills.
Mister Roger's NeighborhoodSaturdays at 9:30 am
Mister Rogers' Neighborhood ranks among the longest-lasting and beloved shows. Host Fred Rogers used his gentle charm and mannerisms to communicate with his audience of children. Topics centered on matters of concern to children, ranging from everyday fears related to going to sleep, getting immunizations and disappointment about not getting one's way to losing a loved one to death and physical handicaps. Rogers used simple songs and, on nearly every show, segments from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe to make his point.
Thomas & Friends Saturdays at 10:00 am
Thomas & Friends is based on the much-loved books by Reverend W. Awdry, who created Thomas the Tank Engine™ to entertain his young son, Christopher, when he was in bed with the measles. The series features Thomas, a true blue engine friend who proudly wears the “#1” on his side, and a cast of track stars, including James, Percy, Emily, Henry and Gordon, as well as Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway, who keeps everything running smoothly. Thomas’ world is a place with a strong community spirit, typified by a universal willingness to embrace good manners and hard work, and a desire to be “really useful.”
The Electric CompanySaturdays at 10:30 am
The Electric Company is a TV show, an online destination and a community outreach experience that offers 6-9 year old children a hip portal into the world of literacy. This reinvention of the classic 70's show continues its' predecessor's aim of being at the edge of cool by drawing on animation, comedic styles, hip music and celebrities of today. The backbone of the project remains literacy with a curriculum of vocabulary, phonics and comprehension of connected text.
EnviropalsSaturdays at 11 am
Enviropals is an entertaining, educational, environmental-science-themed 30-minute adventure that chronicles the adventures of “Rae Rae the Red Panda.” Rae Rae leads children ages 4-8 on each thematic episode along with his friends. During each episode, Rae Rae receives a viewer letter, inviting Rae Rae to visit him at their location corresponding and reinforcing the episode’s theme. Some of the locations that Rae Rae has visited in the past are wind turbine farms, solar generating stations, hydroelectric dams, fish hatcheries, recycling centers, tree farms, animal sanctuaries, caves, organic farms, bee hives and many many more.
