Well-known spoken word artist Paul Flores offered several teen writing and spoken-word performance workshops through Tengo La Voz. A nationally prominent novelist and hip-hop poet from San Francisco, Flores was raised on the Tijuana/ San Diego border, and issues of immigration, border experience and Latino identity are central to his work. He introduced students to the essentials of storytelling, rap technique, and the joys of expressing yourself OUT LOUD!
