The
FCC requires that all television stations broadcast
information regarding the upcoming transition to digital
broadcasting occurring in February, 2009 (DTV transition),
according to rules that they have set forth. In addition,
they require that all stations file a report (Form 388)
on a quarterly basis acknowledging that the station
has complied with the requirements, and listing any
additional education efforts that the station has undertaken.
This form is filed electronically with the FCC. In addition, the FCC requires that these completed forms be placed in the station’s public file in hard copy, and also on the station’s website. The completed forms can be accessed by the links below, indexed by date of filing. For further information about the DTV transition, you can access answers to FAQs by clicking on this link.
