Recycle Art Rotating Workshops: Ages 8 And Up ( 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm )

Dates: 8 Mondays, Mar. 26 – May 14
Time: 3:30 – 5:00 pm
Cost: $10/class or $70/8 classes plus $3 materials/class
Each week we will create a different project that you can take home that very day. We will use recycled materials from SCRAP and create 3d sculptures out of plastic, wood, fabric and metal. Each week we will focus on a different material to create something new and fantastic. Students will be instructed on how to use a glue gun for their projects.

With nothing more than paper, wire, cardboard, millions of miles of masking tape, and glue, we will create animals, people, monsters, and anything you can dream up . First we will build our armatures (skeletons), then we will fill out their forms, and lastly paint them with acrylic paint and add cool, life-like details with assorted materials. Come prepared to get messy and create your new “best friend.”

Cost: $10/class or $70/8 classes plus $3 materials/class
Each week we will create a different project that you can take home that very day. We will use recycled materials from SCRAP and create 3d sculptures out of plastic, wood, fabric and metal. Each week we will focus on a different material to create something new and fantastic. Students will be instructed on how to use a glue gun for their projects.

Come explore the fabulous world of paper maché! With nothing more than paper, wire, cardboard, millions of miles of masking tape, and glue, we will create animals, people, monsters, and anything you can dream up . First we will build our armatures (skeletons), then we will fill out their forms, and lastly paint them with acrylic paint and add cool, life-like details with assorted materials. Come prepared to get messy and create your new “best friend.”

This class can be taken on its own, or as an extension of Adventure in Art, raising the students who enrolled last session to higher levels. We will discover illustration and more involved figure drawing. Students will concentrate on a certain area of interest: portraiture, landscape, still life, or cartooning. Every student will create their own whimsical illlustrated clock as a finale to the course. This class works at all levels, kindergarten through college, and is taught in very relaxed way.
