DESCRIPTION:Council on Aging Volunteer Driver Orientation January 20\, 2012
 \nSign up early! Volunteer drivers are needed at Council on Aging\, a priv
 ate nonprofit that has been serving seniors in Sonoma County since 1966. C
 OA helps seniors continue to live independently and stay actively connecte
 d with the community by providing a variety of services such as Meals on W
 heels\, money management\, legal services\, information and referrals\, tr
 ansportation and more. The Caryl Weis Transportation Program at COA is in 
 need of volunteers who might enjoy transporting seniors to medical appoint
 ments\, grocery stores\, social visits and activities. We are looking for 
 kind and compassionate members of the community who will bring a warm smil
 e and uplifting conversation while driving seniors to their destinations. 
 Volunteers may drive from as little as one ride per month up to several ho
 urs per week. If you would like to donate time to help out seniors and reg
 ister for the upcoming volunteer driver orientation on January 20\, 2012\,

  helps seniors continue to live independently and stay actively connected 
 with the community by providing a variety of services such as Meals on Whe
 els\, money management\, legal services\, information and referrals\, tran
 sportation and more. The Caryl Weis Transportation Program at COA is in ne
 ed of volunteers who might enjoy transporting seniors to medical appointme
 nts\, grocery stores\, social visits and activities. We are looking for ki
 nd and compassionate members of the community who will bring a warm smile 
 and uplifting conversation while driving seniors to their destinations. Vo

 and functional works in clay and glass by members of Association of Clay a
 nd Glass Artists of California (ACGA) on January 20 through March 4\, 2012
  at 230Lakeville St\, Petaluma\,  Located in the Historical Railroad Stat
 ion at Washington and Lakeville. \nContemporary clay and glass artists wil
 l exhibit in the good company of historically important works borrowed fro
 m the collection of Forrest L. Merrill including pieces by Glen Lukens\, L
 aura Andreson\, Beatrice Wood\, Marquerite Wildenhain\, Dr. Herbert Sander
 s\, Antonio Prieto and Bob Fritz.\nThe exhibition will include historical 
 background of ACGA and Frederick Carlton Ball who founded the association 
 in 1945. Ball (1911-1992) taught ceramics in numerous colleges and univers
 ities for more than 40 years and wrote a book called 'Decorating Pottery w
 ith Clay\, Slip and Glaze'.\nIt was at Mills College that Ball developed t
 he pottery studio and founded the San Francisco Potters’ Association (no
 w ACGA) around a group of artists\, including Jade Snow Wong and Ruby O’
 Bourke\, who worked with him in an adult program parallel to the regular c
 urriculum. \nFunctional works in clay and glass will be on sale in the com
 munity gallery. \nCarol Koffel will be raffling off eight of her spectacul
 ar tumblers at the opening reception on January 21\, held from 4 to 6 p.m.
 \nThe arts center in collaboration with the ACGA Artists will  be hosting
  docent tours of the exhibition\, demonstrations\, weekend workshops and a

 a free panel presentation on divorce options.  The event will occur in Sa
