Just finished reading Rudolfo Anaya's book "Tortuga" which is one of his personal favorites. It is biographical in that Anaya was paralyzed in a diving accident when he was a teenager as is the main character in the story. Tortuga is the name of a mountain (shaped like a turtle) overlooking the hospital with the power to heal Anaya's character--both physically and spiritually. But not all the chil
