DESCRIPTION:The San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center invites kids of
  all ages to participate in the 3rd annual Munchkin Kids Run\, part of the
  Wipro San Francisco Marathon\, at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday\, July 29th\, 2012.
  Participants run along the Embarcadero and can choose to participate in t
 he 1 mile\, 1/2 mile or 100 yard dash. Pre-registration is required and th
 e cost to participate is $25. All competitors will receive a runner’s bi
 b with their name on it\, a signature medal for finishing\, t-shirt\, and 
 food and drinks after the race at the Munchkin Festival. Proceeds benefit 
 child abuse prevention programs at the SFCAPC.\nThose who can’t partake 
 in the festivities are encouraged to lend their support by sponsoring a te
 am of 15 children from the Prevention Center to run in the race. By making
  a $2\,000 tax deductible donation\, sponsors will receive a booth at the 
 Munchkin Kids Run finish line for distribution of product or materials\, a
  company logo on munchkin t-shirts and on the Prevention Center’s webpag
 e\, as well as four VIP passes for the official Marathon Reception on race
