Cinnabar Theater’s Dolce Sera - a delicious evening with desserts and a concert - features the Italian and Neapolitan music of Due Zighi Baci (Two Gypsy Kisses). This cabaret-style evening begins at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Cinnabar Theater, 3333 Petaluma Blvd. N., Petaluma.
Songs will include authentic renderings of Italian music popularized in film, television, and radio, such as Tu Vuo Fa L’Americano, Al di la, and Mambo Italiano. Many of these became hit singles in Italy as well as in San Francisco’s North Beach nightclubs and cafes.
Due Zighi Baci includes Michael Van Why, tenor, Sheri Mignano, accordion, with percussionist John Shebalin and featuring guest vocalist Christa Durand. The group has performed in various Bay Area venues, including Café Trieste (San Francisco), Italian Street Painting Festival (San Rafael), Robert Mondavi Winery (Napa), Festa Italiana (Santa Rosa), and Aqus Café (Petaluma).
