NorwickA memorial service for Professor Steve Norwick will be held on the SSU campus at the lakes area at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12. The event is planned as a celebration of his life for family, friends, colleagues, students and former students.

The Norwick family requests an RSVP (click this link) so they can plan for beverages, chairs and parking. Guests are asked to carpool when possible.

fopWith respect to gifts in his memory, the Norwick family has requested that they be kept simple and that nothing new be created or permanently installed. Out of respect for Norwick's strong feelings about such matters, the family requests gifts be made to SSU's Fairfield Osborn Preserve, a place close to his home, heart and life-long work.

The Preserve is a natural resource near the University that Norwick hiked frequently and took hundreds of students there for classes. It is close to his home, heart and life-long work, say family and friends. Funds donated in his honor will help others to experience the beauty of Fairfield Osborn Preserve and mountain he loved.
