The Old World Carolers continue their tradition of a benefit concert at Sebastopol United Methodist Church, 500 N. Main Street (across from Safeway), Sunday, Dec. 9 at 3:30 p.m. Doors open at 3:00 and concert starts at 3:30 p.m. Suggested donation is $10, and children are free. The church is wheelchair accessible. The Old World Carolers’ CD will also be available. This concert will benefit United Methodist Church charities and local homeless shelters.
Songs this year include Neröt dolkim (Hebrew), El cant dels ocells (Catalan), and many other favorites from the choir’s 27 years of singing for benefits in the community. We always add a few familiar standards for singing along.
Special guests Gradina will join in for a set including pieces from Bulgaria and Ukraine. Gradina is a North Bay Balkan ensemble. More info and song samples for both choirs at http://www.traditionalfun.org .
