WHAT: “Loot” By Joe Orton
Oscar Wilde meets Monty Python in this outrageous, hilarious romp of a whodunit as seen through the jaded eyes of mid-20th century English playwright Joe Orton. This greedy, sexy, tawdry (yet stylish) comic masterpiece goes to the next level when religious fervor and a deceased mother become cover-ups for a bank heist gone wrong. Throw in an inept detective and you have a classic satirical critique of the bourgeoisie.

PARKING: After entering the main entrance of Sonoma State University, turn right. Use LOT E to the left. Walk from the main parking lot using the ramp to the theater which is to the left of the parking lot. Parking permits are required for all cars during posted hours Monday through Friday. Permits may be purchased daily from the vending machines located at the entrance to the general parking lots. Daily parking fee is $2.50. Visitor parking is only permitted in lots marked as ‘Non-Reserved.’
TICKETS: $9 to $16 / Sonoma State University students FREE for all performances $9 students and seniors; $14 Sonoma State University faculty and staff; $16 general admission Pre-order and ticket reservations can be made through the box office at (707) 664-2353. Online sales at http://www.sonoma.edu/performingarts/theatre/nowplaying.shtml Tickets also sold at the door at Evert B. Person Theatre one hour prior to curtain. Light meals, wine and soft drinks available for purchase in the lobby at 5:30 p.m.
