The dhyana Center Lofts Press Release: The world renowned dhyanaCenterof Health Sciences in Sebastopol is pleased to announce the Grand Opening Party for the newly opened dhyanaCenterLofts in downtown Sebastopolon October 22 from 1-10pm. This free Grand Opening event is not to be missed and will feature musical entertainment, from a variety of artists from around the world including, Kameko-Arial silk rope dancing, Amrita- Bollywood Dance Troop, Lakshmi Devi-Kirtan, Chaytanya Nitai, Laura Inserra-on the Hang, and ANANTA-violin and cello, and Kim Trippsmith- MC, Song writer and Acoustic guitar. Other highlights include, Indian food, desserts, a silent auction and the new Apothecary tasting and smelling experience! The Grand Opening Party is a non-profit event and all proceeds go to fund the new Aushadi Community Production Kitchen for start-up businesses and the Aushadi by-donation health clinics. The Community Production Kitchen will be a gluten-free, nut-free and kosher facility providing healthy affordable cooking classes to educate the community, medicine making, essential oils distillation and fermentation. There will be a fermentation and aging room, vegetarian and non-vegetarian preparation and stoves, drying racks and a student-run soup kitchen which will always provide a safe place for people of all backgrounds to come and partake in a bowl of healthy soup regardless of financial abilities. DeAnna Batdorff and her husband Scott Jenkins are Co-owners of thedhyanaCenter. Deanna is also the founder of thedhyanaCenterand the Executive Director of the non-profit, Aushadi Health Foundation. Combining her love for health and well-being with her love for people, DeAnna began her practice 22 years ago as an Ayurvedic healer and educator for all people. Today she carries the same fundamental philosophies of providing affordable alternative health care for the people, and that can be seen in her generous and loving bedside manner as well as the plethora of affordable services that she provides to the general public. Scott Jenkins is the creative backbone of thedhyanaCenter; and his colorful and imaginative artwork is currently on display at the newdhyanaCenterLofts in downtownSebastopol. Those that already know DeAnna and Scott know the incredible impact they have had on the community over the last 10 years. Those that aren’t familiar with thedhyanaCenterof Health Sciences need only come see the center to understand what an incredible resource they have been missing out on. ThedhyanaCenteris founded on Ayurveda Science of Life which is East Indian Medicine, utilizing elements to recognize each person’s individual symptoms. The dhyana Center was born from a desire to educate each individual about how the body functions and that there is an innate healing ability within all of us. The dhyana Center of Health Sciences currently provides community classes for teachers of health locally and from around the world, yoga and movement classes, after-hours community events including; musicians from all walks of life, by-donation meditation and stillness and music and meditation from around the world. Supporting self-care through the heart of Ayurveda for all people, the Aushadi Health Foundation provides education about health for the body and emotional support.
