19th Annual Latino Health Forum Preconception Through Adolescence THE LATINO HEALTH FORUM is an annual event that brings together local, national and international experts to discuss Latino health issues. The annual CEU event is organized by residents and faculty members of the Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency program, representatives of local hospitals and members of other community-based organizations. The Latino Health Forum will feature keynote speakers Carmela Castellano-Garcia and Dr. Robert Lustig. There will be morning and afternoon breakout sessions that present innovative health care models and provide participants with tools and resources to inspire, heighten awareness, and encourage a call to action around community responsibility for the health of Sonoma County residents. There are a limited number of exhibitor tables available.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This year the forum will address issues focusing on raising healthy children in our community. Our workshops include: Dietary factors and metabolic syndromes in the Latino community; early childhood experiences and relationships that can affect mental health in later years; causes of dental disease and how it is transmitted; interactive roundtable discussion for students on the challenges and strategies to achieve a college and graduate education in medical fields
