Award-winning watercolorist Annie Murphy Springer - sure to be dressed in purple - will share her artistic talents with interested pupils during a four-week workshop at the Sonoma County Museum.
"The Wonders of Watercolor - Experimental Approaches" is slated for 1 to 4 p.m., on four consecutive Wednesdays from Sept. 14 to Oct. 5, in the museum's sculpture garden.
The Bodega artist is (mostly) self-taught and has been painting since 1986. She specializes in painting on-scene outdoors (en plein air).
Cost of the workshop series is $90 for members, $120 for non-members. There will also be a $15 materials fee to cover the cost of experimental surfaces, pigments, handout reference materials and a Wonders of Watercolor DVD.
All museum classes require advance registration. To register, call Julia Bodeanu at 579-1500 ext. 21, or email to
www.sonomacountymuseum.org and click on calendar, then registration.
