DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\nSonido Pirata is an exhibition exploring sound\, memo
 ry\, and cultural history. In Latin America it is common for popular music
  to be pirated and sold by street vendors as commercial merchandise. The a
 rtists in this exhibition take their cue from this phenomenon of sonido pi
 rata (literally\, &quot\;pirated sound&quot\;)\, making use of appropriate
 d sounds and images and utilizing approaches to art-making that mimic and 
 reflect black market economies. Curated by Julio Cesar Morales. Featured a
 rtists: Facundo Argañaraz\, Nao Bustamante\, Juan Capistran\, Sofia Cordo
 va\, Ana Teresa Fernandez\, Josh Kun\, Juan Luna-Avin\, Eamon Ore-Giron\,
