Printmaking – Etching Techniques July 9 and 16, 10 am–4 pm Instructor: Julie Cavaz
Over two Saturdays, this class will cover basic etching techniques including drypoint, etching, and monotypes. Open to beginning and experienced printmakers, we will focus on visual narratives and the written word, in conjunction with David Hockney’s etchings illustrating Six Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art. One-hour lunch break. Students will produce a signed print ready for a frame as well as smaller prints ready to bind in an artist’s book. Register at www.svma.org.
