 an cafes and dance halls.  Songs made popular by Edith Piaf\, Charles\, T
 renet\, Jacques Brel\, Charles Aznavour\, Yves Montand among other well kn
 own vocalists are represented in each concert. \nTenor Michael Van Why ho
 lds a B.A. in music from SSU where he studied Vocal Performance. He was re
 cently nominated for 2011 Sonoma County Artist Awards for Performing\, Mus
 ic and Literary and is founder director of Project Applause\, a non-profit
  organization based in Sonoma County that provides vocal opportunities for
  emerging\, classically trained singers.\nSheri Mignano Crawford\, learned
  to play accordion in &quot\;Goosetown&quot\; the Italian ghetto in San Jo
 se. She has earned several college degrees and taught college level humani
 ties. She is the author of Mandolins\, Like Salami a social history of 20t
 h century Italian American mandolinists\, and French Soirée\, a history o
 f the bal musette dance tradition that includes brief biographical sketche
